Hotel Gloria de Sant Jaume

Europe, Hotel Reviews / Saturday, June 16th, 2018

We are just home from a girls holiday to Palma where we stayed at the truly fabulous Hotel Gloria de Sant Jaume.

We picked the hotel after a visit in April – and were blown away by the location, interiors and staff but that visit was nothing like our actual stay – and we’re still blown away!

Check in was super prepared – the fabulous Manager Didac – had arranged for all of the information to be confirmed ahead of our arrival so check in was super smooth.

We arrived to welcome drinks in the bar and were then shown upto our rooms – Room 101, 102 and 103. We were travelling as a group of 8 so it was perfect to be next to each other (in a little horseshoe shape) Room 101 – the loft suite was absolutely beautiful – a mezzanine level of loveliness with a freestanding bath and rest room on the top floor and a lounge space and large bathroom on the lower floor – two huge shuttered windows/ doors finish the opulent look.

Room 102 was a beautiful double finished in shades of grey and pink – with a huge light filled bathroom and oversized double bed.

Room 103 was a gorgeous suite – with a large freestanding bath, separate shower in the bathroom, pretty balcony in shades of blue and white – so fresh!

Ah dreamy, dreamy rooms with beautiful light and considered and clever touches like hiding the televisions in mirrors (both on the wall and freestanding) gorgeous L’occitane toiletries and beautiful scents filling the spaces.

From checking into our rooms we headed up to the roof terrace – to be met with more champagne and a gorgeous celebratory cake – such fabulous attention to detail!

The roof terrace area and pool is fabulous – with only a handful of beds and lovely sofa spaces and comfy chairs – we felt like it was our own private space. The space opens from 8am until 12 pm perfect for early morning and late evenings. When I went for an 8am dip it was just perfection – just me and the birds flying overhead and the pretty view – although it was super cold in the water but very fresh!

Breakfast was delicious and fresh – continental style with an option for cooked eggs in any style – we picked our breakfasts and ate them in the room whilst being pampered!

Drinks in the bar was fun and the bar tender mixed up beautiful (strong!) cocktails! We stayed a little longer than we planned too!

The downstairs pool/ spa area is perfect for a hangover! we were just so sad to leave after. couple of days and so much look forward to a return.

Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel to arrange – from hairdressers in our rooms to transport to the beach club, to our favourite Rosé wine (Miraval) it really is a 5 star experience and we all totally recommend.
