We absolutely love L’Hotel – returning for our most recent visit for my boyfriends 40th birthday whilst I was working in Paris – what a wonderful and lovely treat!
Tucked away in the 7th Arrondissement – around the corner from my favourite Laduree in Paris and a stones throw from the river – it’s ideally situated to get to so many parts of the City.
The aesthetic is traditional Paris – from the faded grandeur to the maximalist decor – to imagined whispers in the secret corners – if only walls could talk!
The staff are fabulous, the bar is brilliant, the food in the restaurant – was inspired – I’m vegetarian so I ate from the Natural menu and my boyfriend experienced the traditional 7 course dinner. It really was a taste sensation – we didn’t want it to end – what a night. The wine that was recommended was a great addition and we left – going out into the Parisian air – with happy hearts and full tummies!
We stayed in Room 30 – a Mignon room – with a great view out onto Rue Des Beaux Arts – I think I may be used to small city rooms – as I found it just the right size – a cozy and super romantic bolt hole of happiness.
The bathroom was on the small side – but as a bath lover I found it just right – although we did seem to run out of hot water – but somehow – didn’t mind on little bit!
Look forward to returning soon xo
