Scott’s Mayfair

Restaurant Reviews / Friday, May 1st, 2020

Scott’s is the perfect “Mayfair” experience, managing to be both elegant and warm, exclusive – yet inclusive – and despite the prices it attracts a fairly mixed crowd – from the family enjoying brunch and the businessmen tucking into their fish and chips to two old friends – giggling, gossiping, drinking champagne and eating the most fabulous oysters – that’s us obviously!

The Lowdown

Scott’s is such a wonderful culinary experience – in the heart of Mayfair – perfect for weary-post-shopping-feet after a day on Old Bond Street.

The mixed crowd and curated decor and fabulous customer service stops such a tradition becoming stuffy or too elite – like some of the older establishments of similar standing.

The restaurant is for dining only so you are unable to just head for a glass of champagne – but is seafood isn’t your thing they are not exclusively seafood – serving meat and seasonal game.

There is a pretty terrace at the front of the restaurant which you can request – we have only been lucky to be seated there once – my favourite is being at the champagne bar – I love the hustle, bustle and bar banter.
