The Haybarn Spa at The Berkeley on a sunny Spring day is the dream indulgent birthday location – take a dip in the pool and then enjoy a glass of champagne on the rooftop.

The Lowdown

We enjoyed a day of well being treatments as part of a luxury spa day package – including massage (my personal highlight), facial, manicure and pedicure – which were ok but I wasn’t overly keen on my nail technician who hadn’t worked for the brand long.

The Haybarn Spa is by Bamfords, the clever brand behind one of our favourite haunts – the Wild Rabbit and the Daylesford empire – using their own products which are all British-made – pure, natural and organic – so you feel like you are in the heart of the Cotswolds in the heart of the city.

Whilst using the spa you have use of the gorgeous deco-style pool with beautiful views of Hyde Park and we also stepped out onto the sun drenched, terrace to relax on the loungers – the outdoor space is small but designed to feel wonderfully relaxing and a haven away from the hustle bustle.

Our farm-to-table inspired lunch was also taken outside – a dreamy Spring salad and burrata washed down with lots of champagne and a surprise Happy Birthday sweet treat.

Looking for a way to make your day even more special? head for a cocktail in the Blue Bar at the Berkeley then go shopping on Knightsbridge, dinner at Scotts and cocktails at The Connaught. Perfection!
