If nostalgic style with a hint of scandal and spritz of glamour are your thing – I recommend checking into the recently opened Kettner’s Townhouse – taken over by Soho House – this old familiar is a wonderful retreat in the heart of Soho.

An early check in awaited – quick freshen up and out into the London air for the day – back in time for dinner in the main dining room – I had the scallop to start followed by tomato salad and fries with a wonderful Provence rosé before a nightcap in the champagne bar and an early night.

Gorgeous thick crisp linens, the obligatory CowShed products, pared back luxury and a great cocktail list – I stayed as a singleton in the Cosy room – it was perfect for one for one night – the bed I struggled to get out of – but the lovely shower was easy to walk into and the breakfast – just lovely.
